We have a varied staff team, each bringing their own individual characters and talents to the group. All of our current staff hold relevant qualifications and are experienced mums themselves:

Although Tracy is based in the office she will often come out into the older room and the younger room to get to know the children and their individual needs. Tracy shares the role of the Safeguarding lead.
Raynor is a Deputy Supervisor. Raynor is based in our younger room and really connects with the younger children having great patience and a calm, quiet nature. She will always be wherever children need her.

She’s known as Crystal by many of the children and staff – she likes any sparkly activity! Chris is popular with the children, particularly the girls. Chris is a quietter member of the team and can connect with those who need that quiet reassurance.
Angela is always smiling and has a quiet nature and natural ability with the children. Angela enjoys chatting with the children and likes sharing stories in the book corner.
Donna is good with the children and has a no nonsense approach. She is quiet and patient. Donna is forward thinking and enjoys encouraging the children at the playdough and particularly outdoor activities such as the swings and ball skills.

Lisa is our newest member of the team, she brings an enthusiastic approach. Lisa has the ability to adapt to either room and engages with the children on their level. You will often find Lisa on the floor with the children involved in play.
Katie is one of our SENco’s and is based in Blue Room. She is fun and approachable and can be found getting involved amongst the children. Katie enjoys promoting imaginative play and social skills through role play and messy activities.
Kelly is a member of our bank staff and is always ready to help. Kelly is fun and outgoing and especially enjoys craft activities.
We have several regular volunteers and from time to time, we may have students with us on either work experience or from the local colleges. Students and volunteers are never left on their own with the children, being under supervision themselves. Adult helpers, the committee and all staff members have current checks from the Disclosure and Barring Service and these are monitored regularly. As well as gaining qualifications in early years care and education, all staff take part in further training to help them keep up to date with thinking about early years care and education. Every member of staff is trained in First Aid. The setting also keeps itself up-to-date with best practice as a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance, through the Under 5 Magazine and publications by the Alliance, Nursery World magazines and updates from the DCSF(Department of Childhood Services and Families). We display courses that parents may like to try on our Parents Notice Board so please make yourself familiar with this.
We are run by a Committee made up from parents and carers and we are always looking for new mums and dads to help. This Committee is legally responsible for the group and helps to make decisions, arrange fund raising events, review and pass policies and liaise with Ofsted. All parents and carers are welcome to attend meetings even if they are not on the Committee. We are dependent on our fund raising events which supply our lovely resource base. Our Annual AGM is usually held in October; this is when we vote in our new Committee. Please support us we cannot continue to run without a Committee. We need parents and carers present to vote so please try to commit to attending this AGM in order for voting to take place.
